Danse Idol made her debut a winning one when taking her four-year-old mares’ maiden at Boulta in November. One of nine newcomers in the field, she was ridden patiently throughout before taking closer order at the penultimate fence where she progressed to lead after the final fence where she showed an impressive turn of foot to go away from her runner-up by two lengths. Her dam, who is out of the Group 3 winning mare Spring Light, won her two-year-old maiden for Dermot Weld. Danse Idol is a half-sister to three winners on the flat in Tough Chic, Call My Number and Honeyblood and she is also from the family of the Group 1 placed Catch A Glimpse and Holiday Dancer. Danse Idol proved herself to be something special and looks to have the potential to develop into smart track performer and also a black-type mare.
