Alex Harvey, brother of former Champion Under-21 rider Ben Harvey, had his first ride between the flags aboard Minella On Line at Moria in October 2020. Harvey registered first winner in the pointing sphere when guiding his father William's Minella On Line to victory in the Open Lightweight at Punchestown May 2021, with an initial success on the track coming for John McConnell on Eco Pete at Downpatrick in August of that year. Alex won the INHSC Spring Novice Rider's Series in 2022 at the end of a season which saw him win seven races.
