Liam Gilligan is from a family steeped in history with his father Paul a Cheltenham Festival winning trainer, whilst his brother Jack is also a jockey. Following 16 winners as a Conditional Jockey, the Galway native made the decision in 2020 to revert to a QR license on account of his weight, with his pointing debut following at Bellharbour in February of that year.
