Eoin Mahon made his point-to-point debut aboard Paurick O'Connor's Skyalani at Loughrea in October 2013, and it was O'Connor, the brother of winning most points rider Derek, who provided him with his first eight rides. After getting off the mark courtesy of the Sam Curling-trained Abigail Lynch at Rathcannon in October 2016, Mahon enjoyed his best season during the 2018/19 campaign with six winners, including success aboard the year's joint-champion point-to-point horse Longhouse Music.
