Pointers with potential to star in ThoroughBid's Spring sale

ThoroughBid is offering a selection of promising British and Irish Point-to-Pointers in its Spring Sale, which takes place on Wednesday 5th April.

Capable Irish pointers Moorefields, Mount Falcon and Windgap Hill feature among the 19 lots, alongside Scoresby, who placed on debut in a UK Point-to-Point.

The online auction house has a strong track record selling pointers with potential, such as Endless Escape (purchased for £6,500) and Its On The Line (purchased for £8,000), who both ran well at the Cheltenham Festival (Its On The Line running second in the Festival Hunters’ Chase) this year. They also give buyers the opportunity to win their £5,000 Point2Rules Bonus for successful Rules debutants.

Other eyecatchers in the catalogue are Horses-in-Training from top trainers Gordon Elliott, Shark Hanlon and Olly Murphy (including a relative to Grade 1 hurdle winner Ponte Alexandre), broodmares and youngstock.

James Richardson, CEO of ThoroughBid, said: “After what was a fantastic Cheltenham Festival for ThoroughBid, which saw some of our Point-to-Point graduates really prove their value, it’s a pleasure to be offering a number of talented British and Irish horses from the Pointing scene once again.

“With a large number of the best horses in training currently coming from the Point-to-Point field, it is certainly the place to be investing in to find the stars of tomorrow and we are delighted to have some of them in our Spring Sale. Our £5,000 Point2Rules Bonus is another great incentive for potential purchasers.”
