Video Archives | Ballymena April 2002

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2002 season.

The next video to be added to our archive collection is the Mid Antrim point-to-point fixture at Ballymena.

Below gives a brief re-cap of what happened on the day.

The race at the Mid-Antrim Hunt point-to-point fixture at Ballymena, the confined hunt winners race saw only two of the five complete.  It was Pull The Lever who came in front in the hands of Denis Cullen.

Talking Gent and Leo Gracey were impressive winners of the four and five-year-old maiden when coming home in front by 12 lengths.

Double Impact stayed on best from the last to claim the ladies open lightweight in the hands of Ms CE Wilson.

Miraflores and Peter Buchanan took the five-year-old and upwards mares maiden in good style. (race missing)

Baranndee and Liam Lennon took the five-year-old and upwards mares maiden in good fashion when running out a 15-length victory over Deciding Factor.

The winners of two contest saw a fine winner in Priests Bridge when coming home in front by three lengths in the hands of Aaron Stronge.

Peter Buchanan registered a double on the day when landing the six-year-old and upwards maiden aboard Curraghard.

The concluding race on the day, the six-year-old and upwards maiden was won by Leading Choice in the hands of Robert Patton.
