Weekend Preview | Loughbrickland

Race 1: Dennison Commercials 4yo Maiden

Ahead Of Schedule and DELUXE RANGE are closely matched on their recent effort behind Vandemere at Portrush, and it maybe that the latter, who was making his debut on that occasion, may be entitled to progress forward to take this.

Oscer Romero was well fancied ahead of his Punchestown debut and the stables horses went well last week, whilst Famous Clermont and The Whistle Blower are the others with previous form that have offered promise.

Race 2: Tattersalls Ireland 5&6yo Mares Maiden

SHOPPING AROUND found favour in the market ahead of her debut at Portrush a fortnight ago and she ran a race full of promise, simply bumping into a potentially smart looking individual on that occasion. It would not take much further improvement to go close once again.

Racks Cross is another that has gone close of late, finishing a fine second at Durrow and she looks the big danger. Of the others, the Colin Bowe pairing of Dont Dismiss Me and Frilly Frock have both made the frame in the past, as has Frank And Honest who was second at Tyrella last month on good ground.

Race 3: Saintfield Windows Ltd 5&6yo Geldings Maiden

TONY THE BEAR represents an in-form stable and he went very close to recording a debut success at Durrow last month when getting collared in the dying strides to go down by a head. He will be hoping to go one better here.

Jeremy Sunshine finished fourth on his debut at Ballyvodock in a race which has already produced two subsequent maiden winners, and as that form having been franked, he looks the obvious alternative. Ultimate Getaway and Islandray are others that can get into the mix.

Race 4: Conduit at Tullyraine House Open

Ex-track performer ALL HELL LET LOOSE has hit the crossbar on three outings this season, including both of his latest runs. He was only narrowly denied in the final strides at Ballynoe last month and would be deserving of a first success in this sphere.

Sambremont finished behind the Aintree Foxhunters-fourth Coastal Tiep on his two latest outings, former Irish National winner Thunder And Roses is a strong stayers, whilst Sizing Titanium who was turned over at a short price at Kirkistown on his return from a year absence should be an improved force here.

Race 5: Albert Bartlett Winner Of Two

DECOR IRLANDAIS failed to fire on his first outing in a Hunter Chase at Downpatrick last month, however he has run well throughout the season, winning two races, including a comfortable success at Kirkistown and he can bounce back to form here.

Spanish Leather is another that failed to complete on his most recent visit to the track, pulling-up at Monksgrange, but he too has won a brace of races this season and will not be far away if back to his best. Puff My Pistons and Change Your Story are others that can get involved.

Race 6: Barclay Communications 6yo Maiden

After four consecutive second placed finishes, COSMIC FLIGHT is long overdue a maiden success and this open looking race should be an ideal opportunity for him.

Armagh runner-up Duckphil was a beaten favourite at Durrow last month, whilst Tawnawully has changed yards since he disappointed at Loughanmore in May. However prior to that he had gone close at Taylorstown and his new yard had a winner last week to offer further encouragement.
