Tattersalls Ireland announces sponsorship package for Autumn point-to-point season

Tattersalls Ireland are Ireland’s leading sponsor of Irish point-to-points. Given the importance of the sector and the challenges faced by point-to-point Committees, Tattersalls Ireland are delighted to announce a sponsorship package that will offer sponsorship to every single Point to Point meeting which takes place in the Autumn of 2020.

The sponsorship will commence shortly with the Ormond Foxhounds scheduled to hold the opening meeting at Ballingarry on Saturday 19 September.

As well as sponsorship, Tattersalls Ireland look forward to hosting an additional point-to-point this season with the Meath & Tara hunts on October 25, and the Louth Hunt on December 6. The addition of a second fixture at Tattersalls Ireland brings to 37 the number of point-to-points that are now programmed for the enhanced Autumn schedule.

Commenting on the enhanced sponsorship, Paul Murtagh, Registrar of the INHSC said;

“The Stewards of the INHSC are delighted Tattersalls Ireland have elected not only to maintain their existing sponsorship for the Autumn point-to-point season but to expand their sponsorship across all fixtures. We look forward to working with Tattersalls Ireland and would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their continued support.”

Tattersalls Ireland CEO, Matt Mitchell comments;

“The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in challenging times for the point-to-point sector, Tattersalls Ireland are pleased to support the upcoming point-to-point season by expanding our sponsorship to all hunts. Tattersalls Ireland is committed to supporting the National Hunt sector in Ireland and this sponsorship, together with the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Sales Bumper and sponsorship at the Dublin Racing Festival demonstrates our commitment.”
