Video Archives | Longford 2003

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2003 season.

The Westmeath Foxhounds and Longford Hunt point-to-point fixture at Longford is the next meeting to be added to our video archives.

Below is a re-cap of what happened on the day.

The opening race at the Longford provided spectators with a thrilling finish, with Hollygrove Native and William Ross just holding off Leneygaff and Ciaran Murphy to claim the winners of two contest.

Division one of the four and five-year-old maiden saw an impressive winner in Coogee Boy who came in front by 20 lengths in the hands of J D Moore.

Lord Of The Track and Paul Cosgrave took division of the four and five-year-old maiden when running out a two length victory over In To The Sunset.

Cecil Ross’ charge Notabadskin put in an impressive performance to land the open lightweight in the hands of Cathal Swords.

The six and seven-year-old mares maiden was in good style by Slaney Sue who made all under R McCarthy.

Tom Gibney landed the opening division of the six and seven-year-old geldings maiden aboard Jolly Melody.

Diesel Dude supplied J D Moore with his second winner of the afternoon when coming home in front to take division two of the six and seven-year-old geldings maiden.

Richie Cully was on the scoresheet when claiming the eight-year-old and upwards maiden aboard Kilmanche.

The concluding race of the day, division two of the eight-year-old and upwards maiden was won in good style by Boys O Boys and Brian Hamilton.

The initial 23 entries for the Tattersalls Cheltenham April Sale on Thursday, 25 April are now available online and include 11-winning and placed four-year-olds.

Latest P2P Fixture Updates

The Ballymacad Hunts fixture will now take place at Tatterslls, there will be a second fixture at Loughanmore in April, whilst Taylorstown has been rescheduled for May 18th.
