Video Archives | Farmacaffley March 2002

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2002 season.

The next meeting to be added from 2002 is the Tynan and Armagh Hunts fixture at Farmacaffley.

Below gives a brief re-cap of what happened on the day.

Eglish added another winner to his tally when running out a three-length victory of the opening confined hunt race at Farmacaffley in the hands of Liam Lennon. He was owned by the recently deceased Dr Fitzroy Gillespie who also bred the son of Zaffaran. Eglish then went on win many races for Enniskillen college.

The five and six-year-old geldings maiden went the way of Ross Comm and Leo Gracey when running out a six-length victory over Rathnally Park.

It was quick race double for Leo Gracey when winning division two of the six-year-old geldings maiden aboard Denada.

Royal Toast won the open lightweight in good fashion, in the hands of Enniskillen College student Brea Donnelly.

The five, six and seven-year-old maiden was won in good style by Merry Maid and Aaron Stronge.

Leo Gracey registered a treble on the day when winning the winners of two aboard Royal Town.

The seven and eight-year-old geldings maiden went the way of Blades Hotel and J D Moore.
Alan Fleming took the concluding division of the seven and eight-year-old geldings maiden when running out an easy winner aboard The Blacksmith.
