Video Archives | Tyrella January 2001

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2002 season.

The East Down Foxhounds point-to-point fixture, is the first meeting we are adding from 2002.

Below gives a brief re-cap of what happened on the day.

Strawberry Bob and Brian Hamilton ran out an impressive 10-length victory in the opening winners of two contest.

The five and six-year-old geldings maiden was claimed by Another Ace and Liam Lennon.

The ever consistent Ten Poundsworth added another victory to his name when winning the open lightweight in the hands of Leo Gracey.

Lauralivia and Barry Potts made it a pillar to post victory in the seven-year-old and upwards mares maiden.

Lynrick Lady showed admirable battling qualities when staying on well in the closing stages to deny Eyelash by half a length in the hands of John Quinn.

It was a quick race double for John Quinn after he won the seven-year-old and upwards geldings maiden in good fashion aboard Remember Mark. This was a particularly good feat as the rider John Quinn also trained both of his winners on the day.

It was a first and last race double for Brian Hamilton who won the concluding seven-year-old and upwards maiden aboard Grangewood Lad.
