2018/19 A-Z Review

06 October 2018 – Toomebridge

• Donnchadh Doyle took the opening race of the season with Robin Des Sivola in the four-year-old mares’ maiden. The Wexofrd handler would go on to train a further 31 winners during the term.
• Noel McParlan and Noel Kelly combine to record a treble on the afternoon with Decor Irlandais, Oscar Light and Shanmullagh.

07 October 2018 - Castletown-Geoghegan          

• Having ridden his first winner of the season on the previous afternoon at the begining of his title defence, Barry O’Neill went on to record a treble here aboard Pennyforapound, Lively Beat and Shawshank.
• Peter Flood got his season off to a flying start training a treble, this was the beginning of what would be a fantastic year for the Kilcock handler as he went on to saddle a further 12 winners.

13 October 2018 – Moira

• Loughouse Music recorded the first of her 13 successes of the season in the open for Sam Curling and Derek O’Connor.
• Johnny Kinsella trained the first winner of his career when Summons To Court took the older maiden under James Kenny.

14 October 2018 – Loughrea

• Barry Stone rode his first winner in the four-year-old maiden aboard Unexpected Depth for Ellen Doyle. Alongside her brother James, the pair would provide both Stone and Luke Murphy with a number of leading opportunities throughout the season.
• Baby Bee provided Declan Queally with the first of his 20 winners for the season in the mares’ winners race.

20 October 2018 – Portrush

• After a spell as a conditional and a lengthy suspension, Luke McGuiness rode his first winner back between the flags aboard Mr Boss Man in the open for Nigel Slevin.

21 October 2018 – Tinahely

• De Forgotten One took the opening four-year-old maiden for Shane Fitzgerald and Mick Goff. Within three months their graduate got off the mark under rules for Tim Vaughan when winning a maiden hurdle.
• The late Patrick McCormack was remembered when Lough Derg Rose made it two from two between the flags in the colours of Pat Coffey for handler Denis Murphy.

21 October 2018 - The Pigeons

•  The Sam Curling-trained Some Are Lucky won the first of his seven opens this season under his owner/rider Gerry Spain, a Pharmacist from Tipperary at what was a first autumn fixture for the South Westmeath Hunt.
• Onthefrontfoot took the four-year-old maiden for Donnchadh Doyle, the son of Shantou went on to win a bumper and two hurdles for Donald McCain in the Spring.

27 October 2018 – Loughbrickland

• Winged Leader won the four-year-old maiden under Rob James and Donnchadh Doyle. He was subsequently sold to Fermanagh handler David Christie and won two winners races and finished second in three opens and two hunter chases in the colours of Portrush hoteliers John Hegarty and Jennifer O'Kane.
• Pa King rode his first winner of the season for Willie Murphy aboard Johnny Sue in the winners of two for Willie Murphy. Both went on to enjoy great seasons with King riding 11 winners and Murphy also training 11 winners.
• Hi Murphy eased to success in the older maiden under Noel McParlan for his father Sean, the son of Gamut went on to win two more point-to-points before the season was out.

28 October 2018 - Dowth Hall

• Dowth Hall received another great attendance with the many attractions on offer drawing in a large crowd, although the number of runners were small owing to the ground.
• Races were streamed live through Facebook, which was a first for the venue.

04 November 2018 - Damma House

• The Kilkenny’s unveiled their new track at Damma House, although less than a mile around, the course has a decent home straight ensuring it is a fair track.
• Michael Sweeney rode his first winner for Declan Queally aboard Cloudy Morning in the open and the Waterford native went on to lay down a strong claim for the novice title with 12 winners for the season, enjoying a particularly profitable partnership with Queally.

04 November 2018 - Moig South

• Just a short head separated Picanaha and Defuture Is Bright in the second division of the four-year-old maiden with the pair going on to make £110,000 and £135,000 respectively.
• Kruzhlinin made his open debut for Gordon Elliott and owner Camilla Sharples, winning the first of 13 races this season under Lisa O’Neill.

10 November 2018 - Loughanmore

• Bold Conduct took the four-year-old maiden for Warren Ewing and Richie Deegan before going on to sell for £150,000.
• The Echo Boy took the five-year-old maiden under Lar OCarroll who would retire from the saddle shortly after due to commitments on his familes farm.
• Coastal Tiep made his Irish point-to-point debut a winning one for the Crawford brother, before going on to run with huge credit in hunter chases for the remainder of the season.
  Interestingly when the French-bred had previously competed between the flags, he ran twice in one day at Littlewindor back in May 2016. Having been brought down very early on his first attempt of the afternoon, the son of Coastal Path turned out in another maiden later in the afternoon, breaking his duck in the process.

10 November 2018 – Lisronagh

• A €150,000 store, Sidetracked won his maiden at the third time of asking in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden for Gearoid O'Loughlin. The son of Beneficial went on to win a hunter chase and an open in the colours of Chris Jones.
• Longhouse Music won her second open of the season, once again under Derek O’Connor.

11 November 2018 – Dromahane

• The Edelle Logan-owned Grey Getaway finished second in the four-year-old maiden for Denis Murphy before fetching £190,000 at the sales.
• The 134-rated Stand Up And Fight made a winning start between the flags in the open. The J P McManus-owned gelding was ultimately sent off as the favourite for the Cheltenham Foxhunters, but could only finish sixth on his first visit to Prestbury Park.

11 November 2018 – Ballinaboola

• Fearless Fracas realised £175,000 after taking the four-year-old maiden for Ashleigh and Michael Murphy, the duo enjoyed a double on the afternoon with both winners ridden by Gary Murphy.
• Gerry Spain steers Some Are Lucky to his second success of the season in the open.

18 November 2018 – Turtulla

• Subsequent Tramore hunter chase winner, Myrons broke his maiden under Evan Dwan for handler Pat Doyle.
• Susie Doyle rode the first winner of her career aboard Sammantom, trained by her father Pat who enjoyed a double on the day.

18 November 2018 – Tinahely

• Jack Hendrick teamed up with his boss Cormac Doyle to partner his first career success aboard Would You Bypass in the mares’ maiden.
• Kruzhlinin wins for the second time of the season, this time ridden by Barry O’Neill at a course that he would enjoy plenty of success during the season.
• Moira McElliogott teamed up with her husband Willie Murphy to enjoy her first success since the 2011/2012 season thanks to Bog Lane Baby.

24 November 2018 – Kirkistown

• Lar O'Carroll rides his last winner aboard The Echo Boy in the winners race before retiring.
• Johnny Barry came close to riding his first winner at Kirkistown when Okey Dokey finished second in the older maiden on what was his 50^th ride at the track.

25 November 2018 – Lingstown

• Rob James steered home Shiskin to success in the second division of the four-year-old maiden. Trained by Virginia Considine, the son of Sholokhov went on to make £170,000 at the sales.
• Conor Moore rode the first winner of his career aboard Win My Wings for his father Denis in the mares’ maiden.
• No Hidden Charges belied his inexperience to take the banks race for John Paul Brennan, having only won his maiden at Tinahely a couple of weeks earlier.

 25 November 2018 – Rathcannon

• Dundrum Wood took the opening division of the four-year-old maiden before going on to be sold for £270,000.
• Eoin Mahon did the steering aboard Longhouse Music, who recorded her third success of the season in the mares’ open for novice riders. 

02 December 2018 - Mainstown - CANCELLED    

02 December 2018 – Ballindenisk

• Declan Queally trained a treble on the afternoon courtesy of Cloudy Morning, Bothar Dubh and Givemylovetorose. Queally also rode a winner on the afternoon, although Michael Sweeney and Roger Quinlan were aboard his own runners.

 02 December 2018 - Corbeagh House

• There was high drama in the opening division of the four-year-old maiden as Alko Rouge came to grief at the last when holding a 20 length advantage under Barry Stone. Ellen Doyle's charge would re-appear in the spring where further misfortune would befall him.
• Kruzhlinin won his third consecutive start, the son of Sholokhov went on to finish a good third at Down Royal in a hunters chase on St. Stephen’s Day.

09 December 2018 - Borris House

• Particularly stiff fences resulted in a host of fallers on the afternoon with 20 horses coming to grief.
• Barry O’Neill rode his 500^th point-to-point winner in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden aboard Definite Warrior.
•  Longhouse Music records win number four for the season with Eoin Mahon once again aboard.

09 December 2018 - Tattersalls Farm

• 118 runners across nine races ensured that Tattersalls proved to be the biggest meeting of the entire season.
• The Cull Bank won the second division of the four-year-old mares’ maiden and went on to win two hurdles and finish second in a listed event for Alan King later that season.
• Chantry House made £295,000 having won the second division of the four-year-maiden for Cian Hughes.

09 December 2018 – Boulta

• Wrong Direction won at the first time of asking as an eight-year-old for the Spillane's. Whilst he would look an unlucky late faller at Limerick in a Hunter Chase over the Christmas, he would gain some compensation when scooping a big pot in the bonus race for older horses at Dromahane in the spring.

16 December 2018 – Boulta

• Minella Melody blitzed her rivals on debut to win the four-year-old mares' maiden for John Nallen, before placing in Listed Bumpers at the Aintree and Punchestown Festivals in the spring.
• The Irish National Stud Breeding & Racing Club had their first runner between the flags when former Irish Grand National winner Thunder And Roses finished second in a top class open under Barry O’Neill.

30 December 2018 – Dromahane

• Fort Texas Worth who would go on to win the  P2P.ie Tipperary mares’ bumper, won her first race breaks in the four-year-old mares’ maiden for Colin Bowe.
• Michael O’Sullivan belatedly rides his first winner of the season when taking the novice riders open aboard Macs Legend. The Cork native would go on to be novice champion with 16 winners for the season.
• Derek O'Connor rides his 1200th point-to-point winner aboard Nelly's Money.

06 January 2019 – Templenacarriga

• Burning Ambition makes a successful seasonal reappearance when taking the novice riders open under Jack Hendricks. The son of Scorpion went on to finish second in the Aintree Foxhunters having just been headed at the elbow.

06 January 2019 - Mainstown

• Lisa O’Neill is in the plate when Longhouse Music records her firth success of the season in the ladies open.
• Go To Court supplies Pa King with his 100^th winner between-the-flags in the mares’ maiden.

13 January 2019 – Tinahely

• Having finishe second on her three previous starts Dime A Dozen finally breaks her maiden for Shark Hanlon. This marks the start of a fruitful association with rider Tom Hamilton who also goes on to win the Gain Mares’ Final aboard the daughter of Jeremy.
• Win number four for Kruzhlinin in the open, once again partnered by Barry O’Neill.

13 January 2019 – Aghabullogue

• Ucello Conti returns to winning ways when making a successful point-to-point debut for Gordon Elliott. The Simon Munir and Isaac Souede – owned gelding goes on to win three hunters chases.

20 January 2019 – Boulta

• Michael Sweeney goes viral following his recovery and subsequent victory aboard Ask Heather in the winners’ race.
• Artic Skipper records the second of his three open successes this season for Vincent Halley and Johnny Barry.

26 January 2019 – Tyrella

• Harley Dunne picks up a late spare aboard Lisnagreggan to take the hunt race after Neil Gault is injured schooling.
• Jamie Codd rides Kruzhlinin for the first time and the pair get off to a successful start when taking the open, with the 12-year-old recording his fifth win of the season.

27 January 2019 – Dungarvan

• Holly Flight comes out on top following a battle with Longhouse Music in the mares’ open, the seven-year-old goes on to win a handicap chase in May.

27 January 2019 – Kilfeacle

• One of the biggest fields of the season go to post in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden with 18 runners going to post.
• Fenno’s Storm causes an upset when beating Stand Up And Fight in the open, although Declan Queally’s charge went on to with the Tetratema Hunter Chase just two starts later.

03 February 2019 – Belharbour

• Pat Doyle and Johnny Barry team up to take the four-year-old maiden with Fado Des Brosses on what is the first day of the Spring season catering for the younger division.
• Sidetracked followed up on his hunter chase success at Clonmel when taking the open under James Hannon for Gearoid O’Loughlin.
• Former jockey Eddie Power saddles his first winner as a handler when Perpignan takes the winners’ race.

03 February 2019 - Ballyvodock

• A treble of the afternoon for Eoin O’Brien courtesy of Quarry Lil, West Cork Wildway and Bright Rhett.

03 February 2019 – Ballinaboola

• Colin Bowe and Barry O’Neill combine with Tellmesomethingirl, who becomes the first four-year-old mare to win in the Spring season.
• John O’Neill rode his first winner back from a break when steering The Three Wizards to success in a competitive mares’ maiden.

09 February 2019 – Kirkistown

• Hell’s Canyon takes the four-year-old maiden, providing Colin Bowe with his first winner for Gigginstown.
• Jamie Codd is once again aboard Kruzhlinin who records his sixth success of the season for Gordon Elliott.
• This day marks the beginning of passports check for vaccinations following equine influenza outbreak. 

10 February 2019 – Cragmore

• Wide Receiver take the opening four-year-old maiden for Cormac Farrell. The son of Sholokhov would go on to make £410,000 at the sales.

10 February 2019 - Oldtown

• Due to the equine influenza outbreak, schooling after racing cancelled was cancelled, this would continue for a number of weeks.  

10 February 2019 - Tallow

• James Walsh steers Deploy The Getaway to success in the four-year-old maiden for Donnchadh Doyle and he subsequently sells for £200,000.
• Future Cork hunter chase winner Casey Jem breaks his maiden for Richard Black in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden.

17 February 2019 - Knockanard

• Jimmy O’Rourke continues his association with high class four-year-olds when steering Ferney Hollow to success for Colin Bowe, who realises £300,000 at the sales.
• The Grey Notice To Close wins the first of three races this season when breaking his maiden under Mikey O’Connor.

17 February 2019 – Punchestown

• Mark O’Hare steers his wife Sarah’s charge Power of Pause to success in the four-year-old maiden. Trained by Patrick Turley, the chestnut later sells for £180,000.
• Peter Maher continues his dominance in the hunt race when training Change Your Story to win under Tiernan Roche.
• Aileen O’Sullivan fracture vertebrae following a fall from Junius Brutus in the open, won by Some Are Lucky.

17 February 2019 – Nenagh

• Liz Lalor returns with a winner when steering Cloudy Morning to success in the ladies open, having given birth to her first child a couple of months previously.
• Brian McMahon saddled his first point-to-point winner when Loughrask Breeze took the mares’ maiden, although the Clare-native is no stranger to success under rules.

23 February 2019 – Farmaclaffley

• Jamie Codd enjoys a treble on the afternoon, bringing his northern tally to 11, four winners clear of Noel McParlan at that point.
• Alan Ahern makes the long trip up from Cork worthwhile when saddling his first winner courtesy of Silver In Disguise in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden.

24 February 2019 - Tinahely

• The Gordon Elliott – trained Kruzhlinin records his eighth success of the season under Jamie Codd in the open.
• Loggan Lady records her second career success at the track for the local Walsh family. Somewhat of a course specialist, she has never finished out of the first three around here.  

24 February 2019 – Kildorrery

• Michael O’Sullivan continues his rich vein of form when riding a treble on the afternoon, courtesy of Getaway Totherock, Macs Legend and Coole Lion.
• Declan Queally trains Givemylovetorose to her fourth success of the season in the winners of three.

• Having become a father for the first time the previous evening, Patrick Turley saddles Little Battler to take the hunt race, although understandably the Downpatrick native was absent.

03 March 2019   - Bandon

• A double on the day for Michael O’Sullivan brings him level on eight winners in the race with Michael Sweeney to become champion novice.

03 March 2019   - Borris House

• Sporting John takes the opening four-year-old geldings’ maiden for Mathew Flynn O’Connor, interestingly the form from this maiden worked out extremely well during the season with four subsequent winners emerging.
• Robbie Jackson steers home the first winner of his career aboard the James Barcoe – trained All Ears in the confined maiden.

03 March 2019   - Ballycahane

• Patrick Turley trains My Whirlwind to win the four-year-old mares’ maiden in impressive fashion. The daughter of Stowaway was sold for a record £400,000 afterwards.
• Racing was called off after four races due to the driving sleet and snow.

09 March 2019 – Kirkistown

• Colin Bowe trained the winner of the first four-year-old auction race for horses that have cost €25,000 or less at public auction with Heartbreak Kid.
• Former jockey Shane Hassett trains his first winner when Dontgetfooledagain takes the older maiden under Shane Fitzgerald.

10 March 2019 – Lingstown

• Bravemansgame takes the four-year-old maiden under James Walsh for Donnchadh Doyle and subsequently sells for £370,000.
• Bernie Murphy trains Ard Abhain to take the mares’ maiden in the colours of Pat Coffey, the daughter of Jeremy later sells for £80,000 and wins a bumper at the Punchestown Festival.
• Festival Opera takes a 15 runner banks race which has been reinvigorated with a prize fund of over €3000.

10 March 2019 – Belclare

• £260,000 for Farouk D’Alene after he wins the opening four-year-old geldings’ maiden with Jimmy O’Rourke for Donnchadh Doyle.
• A double for Aidan Fitzgerald on the day, while Rosfoyle also became the first horse to win two races for the Carlow handler.

10 March 2019 – Turtulla

• Meeting changes venue from Horse And Jockey to Turtulla.
• Simon Cavanagh steers Hold That Taught to success for handler Denis Murphy and the four-year-old subsequently sells for £220,000.

10 March 2019   - Lismore

• One of the few meetings of the season ran with heavy in the going description.
• It Came To Pass recorded his first success for the O’Sullivans in the open, he would go on to win another open and two hunter chases before the season was out.

17 March 2019 – Ballyarthur

• Joe Ryan turns his €11,000 store purchase into £280,000 after Adrimel takes the four-year-old maiden under James Hannon.

17 March 2019  - Ballyragget

• Pa King rides a double on the afternoon courtesy of Aloneamongmillions and Rose Of Aghaboe.
• Lough Derg Lyric runs out an impressive winner of the winners’ contest for Gerry and Brian Lawless who goes on to enjoy his nest season to date with five winners on the board.

23 March 2019 – Durrow

• Seven races on the afternoon with 70 runners going to post.

24 March 2019 – Durrow

• Casey Jem takes his second contest of the season for Richard Black before going on to win a Cork hunters chase.
• Fenno’s Storm takes the Ladies open under Liz Lalor, following his success in the Tetratema for handler Declan Queally.

24 March 2019 – Liscarroll

• Nationwide are in attendance to film a feature for RTE
• Colin Bowe saddles Papa Tango Charlie to win the four-year-old maiden and Barry O’Neill’s mount goes on to fetch the top price for a point-to-pointer this season at £440,000.

30 March 2019   - Portrush

• Rob James and Donnchadh Doyle combine for a double in the two divisions of the four-year-old maiden.
• Win number seven of the season for the Sam Curling – trained Longhouse Music.

• Israel Champ runs out a very impressive winner of the four-year-old maiden under Harley Dunne for handler Mary Doyle, before being sold privately.
• Notice To Close records the third success of his season for Seamus Neville and Mikey O’Connor when taking the winners of two.

31 March 2019 – Lisronagh

• A double on the afternoon for Shane O’Rourke who steers both Ashfield Paddy and Catchmeifyoucan to success.
• Dylan Whelan steers home the first success of his career when Enbarr of Mannan takes the concluding older maiden for Alan Roche.

31 March 2019   - Ballynoe

• Michael O’Sullivan rides his first winner for Colin Bowe when steering It Sure Is to success in the four-year-old maiden.
• Dime A Dozen takes the Gain Mares’ Final under Tom Hamilton for handler Shark Hanlon.

06 April 2019 – Moira

• Direct Fire provides handler Brian Hamilton with his first winner for Gigginstown when taking the four-year-old maiden under Declan Lavery.  
• Ross Mcleigh, Oran McGill and Brid O’Neill all ride their first winners on the afternoon.

07 April 2019 – Rathcannon

• Dean Sinnott rides his first Irish point-to-point winner aboard the Lenny Flynn – trained Huckleberry Hill.
• Veteran On The Fringe takes the open under Aine O’Connor, at the age of 14.

07 April 2019 – Courtown

• Five Star Getaway wins the five-year-old geldings’ maiden but is subsequently disqualified at an IHRB hearing for testing positive for a prohibited substance. Doubleubee is awarded the race.
• Rob James steers Longhouse Music to her seventh success of the season in the mares’ open.

07 April 2019 – Dromahane

• It Came To Pass takes his second open of the season under Maxine O’Sullivan, her second winner of the season. O’Sullivan went on to be champion lady rider, although at this stage the title race was still wide open.

07 April 2019 - Castletown-Geoghegan

• Cormac Doyle continues his good run of from when Coconut Splash wins the four-year-old maiden, the son of Stowaway goes on to sell for £180,000.
• Some Are Lucky takes his fifth success of the season in the open under owner/rider Gerry Spain.
• The ten-year-old Another Island wins on just his second start for Thomas Tormey in the older maiden, providing Fergal Stack with the second success of his career. 

13 April 2019 - Loughbrickland

• Second on his four previous starts, Cosmic Flight takes the older maiden for the Crawfords.
• A double for Noel McParlan brings  him to within one winner of Jamie Codd in the race to be Northern champion, with a tally of 11.

14 April 2019 – Dromahane

• Eamonn Gallagher trains Ida’s Boy to win the five-year-old geldings’ maiden and the son of Dubai Destination goes on to realise £155,000 at the sales.
• Mafitz’s Madonna wins her third consecutive start under Michael O’Sullivan when taking the mares’ winners race for Gerry Kelleher.

14 April 2019 – Stradbally

• A red letter day for Pa King who rides a treble on the afternoon aboard De Barley Basket, Grand Summary and Longhouse Music.
• James Kenny also enjoys a double on the afternoon thanks to Look Alive and Crutches Lad.

14 April 2019 - Bellurgan Park

• Gerry Spain partners Some Are Lucky to his seventh success of the season for Sam Curling.
• Only five competitive races on the afternoon with only one runner – Briar Lane declared in the final race resulting in a walk over.

14 April 2019 – Ballysteen

• Susie Doyle rides her second winner aboard Sammantom in the open, the Tipperary-native goes on to win on 4 of her next 6 rides putting her right in contention for the ladies title.
• The Eoin McDonagh – trained Mister Flemington win the concluding older maiden for the Cleary’s who would be well known for their schooling ground and their work in the weigh room at valets.

17 April 2019 – Inch

• Colin Bowe and Barry O’Neill combine for a double in both the four-year-old mares’ and geldings’ maidens.
• Michael O’Sullivan rides his final winner of the season aboard Getaway Totherock in the winners race, although subsequently getting injured his tally of 16 was enough to secure the novice riders title.

21 April 2019 – Oldcastle

• Kruzhlinin wins his ninth open of the season at Oldcastle with Barry O’Neill back on board.
• Peter Flood has an across the treble on the afternoon with Supreme Escape and Tokyo Getaway winning both winning here under Anthony Fox.
• After a string of placing’s Jordan Gainford rides his first winner aboard Airgead Suas in the concluding older maiden.

21 April 2019 – Quakerstown

• The Big Breakaway takes the four-year-old maiden for Donnchadh Doyle before fetching €360,000 at the sales.
• Kid Commando wins the five-year-old maiden under Luke Murphy, supplying Peter Flood with one of the legs of an across the card treble.
• Derek O’Connor and the Hassett’s team up with Southern Girl who secures an impressive success in the mares’ maiden before fetching €155,000 at the sales.

21 April 2019 - Curraghmore

• Grangeclare Native, from the same connections of Finian’s Oscar takes the four-year-old maiden under Jamie Codd who rides a double on the afternoon.

22 April 2019 - Loughanmore - CANCELLED

27 April 2019 – Taylorstown

• After a quite season Sean Doyle enjoys a four-year-old winner with Dancingwiththewind who goes on to make £110,000. 
• Paul Mckeown who enjoyed Cheltenham Festival success with Relegate in the Champion bumper enjoys a winner in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden courtesy of the Colin Bowe – trained Cremant.
• Win number nine for Kruzhlinin in the open, at this stage he is one winner ahead of Longhouse Music in the race to be champion pointer.

28 April 2019 – Monksgrange

• Bernie Murphy enjoys a fantastic touch when Gabby’s Cross takes the four-year-old auction race in the hands of Tom Hamilton. The son of Frammassone cost just €5,000 as a three-year-old and was subsequently sold for £170,000.

• Noreen Bawn passed the post in front in the four-year-old mares’ maiden for Brian Jordan however the debutant was subsequently demoted to second due to interference, however she went on to make €220,000 at the sales.
• €210,000 was the price achieved by the runner up in the four-year-old geldings’, Richard Black’s Barbados’s Buck.
• Wrong Direction takes the older horse bonus race which has a prize fund of €5000 for the Spillane’s.

28 April 2019 – Fairyhouse

• Some Are Lucky records his seventh success of the season, beating Kruzhlinin in the process, although this second placing will play crucial in Gordon Elliott’s eventually tying for the champion horse title.
• The only ‘unplaced maiden’ of the season takes place with 12 runners going to post, the contest goes to Top Man for Cormac Farrell.

• The long trip up north for Michael Sweeney proved worthwhile as he rides a double for Colin McKeever aboard Eskylane and Broomhill.
• Longhouse Music draws level with Kruzhlinin once again on 9 wins following a walk over in the mares’ open under Barry O’Neill.

• Ellmaire Holden continues her good run of form in four-year-old maidens, with Derek O’Connor steering Geraldo to success.
• Sammantom wins his third consecutive start for Susie and Pat Doyle, ensuring Susie is now two winners clear in her bid to become champion lady rider.

• Following her walkover the previous day, Longhouse Music records her second success of the weekend under Johnny Barry, this brings her tally to ten for the season.

• Denis Murphy trains Face The Odds to win the four-year-old maiden under Harley Dunne, the son of Presenting goes on to sell for £165,000.
• Maxine O’Sullivan keeps her name in contention for the ladies title with her fourth winner of the season courtesy of Super Citizen in the adjacent maiden.

10 May 2019 – Necarne

• An upset in the open as the Maxine O’Sullivan ridden Sound Money see’s off odds-on favourite Kruzhlinin.
• Décor Irlandais wins his fourth contest of the season in the winners’ of three for Noel Kelly.

• Rivers End takes the six-year-old geldings’ maiden for Colin Bowe, he was bred by John Bailey whose Ballyedmond schooling ground is well utilised in the Wexford area.
• Former Champion pointer Anseanachai Cliste takes the open, his first success between-the-flags since 2017.

• Lets Go Champ a €90,000 store, takes the second division of the four-year-old maiden for Donnchadh Doyle and goes on to realise £375,000 at the sales.
• Liz Lalor steers Whos In The Box to success in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden, bringing the Tipperary native to within one winner of Susie Doyle in the bid to be ladies champion with a tally of four.

• Having previously unleased the likes of Malone Road at this track, Stuart Crawford trains Largy Fix to take the second division of the four-year-old geldings’ maiden. The chestnut makes’ £170,000 at the sales.
• Kruzhlinin bounces back to form when recording his tenth open success of the season under Jamie Codd.
• Jamie Codd secures the nothern title with 18 winners in the region.

• A treble on the afternoon for Barry O’Neill who has a commanding 27 winner advantage in his bid to be champion rider for the third time.
• Kruzhlinin re-joins Loughouse Music on the 11 winner mark for the season following his second success in 24 hours in the open.

• Longhouse Music records win number 11 under Derek O’Connor, Kruzhlinin equals later in the afternoon. This secures the Western title for O’Connor with 9 winners in the region.
• Diarmuid Moloney rides his first winner aboard Rockin Roxtown in the confined maiden, the Clare native was getting off the mark at just the fourth attempt.

25 May 2019 – Stradbally

• A red letter day for Shane Fenelon who not only records his first career success but also his second half an hour later courtesy of Urban Legend and Rudy Catrail.
• Lisa O’Neill teams up with Kruzhlinin for win number 12 of the season.
• Barry O’Neill is crowned eastern champion with a tally of 31 winners.

26 May 2019 - Inchydoney

•  A double on the afternoon for Harley Dunne who goes on to end the season with 14 winners, his second best tally to date.
• Sammantom provides Susie Doyle with her last winner of the season, her tally of six is unfortunately not enough to secure her the ladies title.

• Maxine O’Sullivan rides her first winner of the weekend aboard Dubai Destination in the mares’ maiden, bringing her to within one winner of Susie Doyle.
• Longhouse Music records a phenomenal 13^th success of the season, this is enough to ensure the John Duggan – owned mare will either share or win the champion horse title.  A treble on the day secures the Southern riders title for Derek O’Connor.

02 June 2019 – Kinsale

• Super Citizens success in the winner’s of two brings Maxine O’Sullivan level with Susie Doyle on 6 winners in the bid to be crowned ladies champion.
• Brothers Richie and Paul Kiely enjoy a double on the afternoon courtesy of Chenery and Thedancingfarrier.
• Maxine O'Sullivan enjoys her 50th success while Rob James partners his 200th success between-the-flags on the afternoon.

02 June 2019 – Ballingarry

• A second double of the season for James Kenny who enjoys success aboard Ticket To LA and Ya Boy Ya.
• Clare native Jack O’Grady rides his first winner aboard Poetic Presence for Sam Curling in the novice riders open.

03 June 2019 – Ballingarry

• Lisa O’Neill steers Kruzhlinin to his 13^th success of the season in the ladies open, ensuring that himself and Longhouse Music share the champion pointer title with 13 wins and two second apiece. The previous record for most wins in a season was eight.
• Maxine O’Sullivan rides the winner of the very last race of the season to secure the ladies title by one winner from Susie Doyle. Mic Winters supplies the successful mount, Clorinka.
