The Limerick Harriers will unveil their new point-to-point track at Ballycahane, Crecora on Sunday 3rd March. The land is owned by the Furnell Family.
The new track is a full grass track with no gaps. It is a relatively flat left-handed track with a slight uphill finish. There are two fences on the back straight and two on home straight with one other.
The track is a good viewing track and can be seen by spectators on the hill. The track itself is very accessible, there is one gate in and its downhill to the exit.
Ballycahane is only 10 minutes from Limerick City and only 2 miles from Limerick Racecourse.
Local trainer Enda Bolger who recently visited the track said; ‘It is a Grade 1 track with first class facilities. It is a fine galloping track with a gentle pull to the finish. The location is brilliant as only minutes away from Limerick City.’
Entries for Ballycahane close on Tuesday 26th February at 12 noon, to view races please click here…
