• Napoleon Blue won the opening race of the season for Colin Bowe and Barry O’Neill.
• There was a strong line-up in the open which was won by A Decent Excuse. Former Grade 1 winner Gilgamboa and last season’s champion pointer Ourmanmassini also ran.
• Three novice riders rode their first winners- Adam Feeney (Sweet Destination) Michael O’Sullivan (A Decent Excuse) and Ben Love (Cee Jay Mc Bride).
Loughanmore 14th October:
• Derek O’Connor had his first winner of the season aboard Blue Flight in the four-year-old maiden.
• Jamie Codd also rode his first winner aboard Frozen Motion in the mares’ maiden.
• Milan Dancer won the older maiden for Noel Kelly and Noel McParlan. She went on to win a further three times including winning the Gain Mares’ final.
Loughrea 15th October:
• Michael O’Sullivan and A Decent Excuse registered their second success of the season in the open.
Rathcannon 22nd October:
• There was a walkover in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden as the Enda Bolger-trained Youcannotbeserious was the only declared runner from 12 initial entries.
• Wilcosdiana made a winning start to the season when she won the mares open. She would go on to score three times and is this year’s champion point-to-point mare.
Tinahely 22nd October:
• Whisperinthebreeze won the four-year-old maiden for Timmy Hyde. He is now in the care of Jessica Harrington and won a maiden hurdle at Naas in March.
• There was local success for John Edward Walsh as Dino’s Benefit won the mares’ winner of one.
Portrush 28th October:
• The four-year-old maiden was won by Weakfield. His runner-up was Brace Yourself from the Warren Ewing yard. He was sold at Cheltenham November sale for £165,000 to Mags O’Toole and Noel Meade and was the first autumn four-year-old runner to win on the track when he won the bumper at Down Royal at Christmas.
Lisronagh 28th October:
• The four-year-old mares’ maiden was the first divide of the season. Won by Daylight Katie and Lust For Glory (sold for £240,000 to Highflyer at Cheltenham November & won her bumper for Nicky Henderson at Ludlow on 8th May).
• Getaway had a double with Lust For Glory and Getaway Trump
• Danny Kirwan won the 2nd Division for Pat Doyle. He won his bumper at Kempton for Paul Nicholls in February.
• Champion lady rider, Liz Lalor rode her first winner of the season aboard Defacto Lady.
Dowth Hall 30th October:
• A record 5,000 crowd attended.
• Good Man Jim won four-year-old maiden and was sold for £360,000 to Roger Brookhouse.

• The Wicklow Foxhounds held an additional fixture which was their first meeting to stage in over 20 years.
• Dantes king won his 7th point-to-point when he held on by a head over Sammantom in the open with Roderic Kavanagh aboard.

• Derby won the four-year-old maiden by 12l for Denis Murphy. He won the p2p bumper at Gowran by 11l for Willie Mullins & Supreme Horse Racing Club.
• Windsor Avenue won the five-year-old geldings’ maiden and went on to win two bumpers for Brian Ellison. He is a half-brother to Malone Road and Ravenhill Road.

• First southern meeting of the season.
• Aidan Fitzgerald had two four-year-old winners with Queens Cave and Court Master.
• Queens Cave was sold for £175,000 to David Pipe. She won her bumper at Uttoxeter in February and was second in a Listed mare’s bumper at Sandown in March.

• Know The Score won the four-year-old maiden for Sean Doyle. He was sold for £380,000 to David Pipe and won his bumper by 13l at Towcester in February before finishing 14th in the Cheltenham bumper.

• Sometime Soon won the four-year-old maiden for David Christie. He was sold for £225,000 to Mags O’Toole/G Elliott and won his bumper at Fairyhouse in February.

• Brendan Lyons had his first winner between the flags coming from Thepremierbroker in the older maiden.
