POINTERS ON TRACK

Six declared for the Downpatrick Hunter Chase

A field of six horses has been declared for Boardsmill Sires maiden hunters chase at Downpatrick on Sunday which was won last year by Clondaw Frisby.

Timewaitsfornoone, who was sold for £225,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland Cheltenham Festival sale in March 2016 following his win at Tinahely for Colin Bowe, made a winning debut for his new connections of Barry Connell and Alan Fleming at Aghabullogue in January and will be hoping to open his account on the track.

The son of Oscar was third to Allannahs Gold in a hunter chase at Fairyhouse last month.

The Tom Shaw-trained Chapter Two holds some strong form against the geldings on her previous starts, with her latest run coming at Tinahely in February where the daughter of Presenting was just narrowly beaten by Dantes King and will be ridden on Sunday by her regular partner, James King.

Sizing Rome, who has been third twice this season with his most recent run coming at Kirkistown two weeks ago, will make his first appearance in hunter chase company for the Jim Dreaper yard and will be partnered by Lisa O’Neill.

The Liam Lennon-trained School Lane, who dead heated as the winner with Ballyart at Farmaclaffey in February along with the dual point-to-point winning mare, He Knows My Name are also amongst entries for the 2m7f contest.
