Maxine O’Sullivan, who currently leads the 2017/2018 Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ladies Series, has been nominated for the AtTheRaces Ride of the Month for the month of November following her winning hide at Cork Racecourse last month.
The former champion lady point-to-point rider, was aboard her father Eugene’s Wilcosdiana for the 3 mile hunter chase.
Sending the Flemensfirth mare to the front from the drop of the flag, Maxine sent her mount on in between the final two fences and appeared to have the race in safe keeping, only for Wilcosdiana to make a terrible mistake at the final fence.
Maxine somehow managed to keep the partnership intact and that allowed the pair to run out the clear cut 11-length winners over Knockraha Boss with Chapter Two back in third.
Maxine is one of five riders to have been nominated for the November Ride of the Month accolade, which includes Ryan Moore’s winning rider aboard Declarationofpeace in the Juvenile Turf Sprint at the Breeders Cup, as well as the winning rides of Jack Kennedy, Hollie Doyle and Patrick Mathers.

Voting closes on Wednesday 13th December.
