El Barra posted a solid debut effort at Dromahane recently. The good-looking son of Racinger was waited with throughout where he picked up strongly between the final two fences and stayed on well on the run-in to finish runner-up to the highly regarded Fury Road. El Barra was one of three newcomers in the field and was six lengths ahead of the third placed horse. He is a half-brother to Barra, a five times track winner, and Creation, also a recent track winner. El Barra has shown himself to be a decent youngster that is bred to develop into a smart sort on the track and could have a lot to offer to new connections.
