Leverock Lass made her debut a winning one when she took her five-year-old mares’ maiden at Bartlemy in May. Ridden towards rear of mid-division before making progress after the fourth last, Leverock Lass took up the lead from after the penultimate fence where she was then headed at the final obstacle but found plenty for pressure to rally well again in the closing stages to regain the lead and win by two and a half lengths at the finish. Out of the dual track winning mare, Hazelhall Princess, Leverock Lass is also from the family of the eight-time and Grade three winning chaser, Big Fella Thanks. Leverock Lass has shown herself to be a tough individual who won in the style of a mare who is destined for a profitable career on the track.
