Emmas Joy made her debut a winning one when taking her five-year-old mares’ maiden at Courtown in April. The daughter of Gold Well tracked leaders throughout before taking closer order at the third last fence where she progressed to lead before the next fence and showed an impressive turn of foot to go away from her rivals to win by eight lengths. Emmas Joy is out of the former Grade B and five-time track winning mare Emma Jane as well as being from the family of high class graded performers which includes the former Aintree Grand National winner Amberleigh House and prolific winner Artifice. Emmas Joy proved herself to be something special and looks to have the potential to develop into a smart track performer and also a black-type mare.
