March Is On took the four-year-old geldings’ maiden at Boulta in November on what was his second start between the flags. The Cormac Doyle-trained winner had one previous run at Ballinaboola earlier in November where he finished fifth behind Clondaw’s Answer. Given a waiting ride, March Is On produced a strong challenge at the final fence where he took up the lead and went on to win by six lengths over his runner-up. Showing the necessary speed in the closing stages it is no surprise that the time of the race was the quickest of the six races and was run 15 seconds above the average of the day. Out of a daughter of the talented Nordic Tiara, this progressive sort is also a half-brother to a winner in Ceol Agus Ol. From a prolific winning family, March Is On looks to be something special who can add further depth to this winning family for new connections.
