Following a very encouraging run last spring in which he looked like he was going to enjoy a debut success at Fairyhouse only for falling at the penultimate fence, Darsi In The Park produced another consistent display at Lougrea in October when still in contention only for exiting at the final fence. He gained his due reward at Lingstown in November when quickening clear of his rivals over his closest rival. This consistent gelding was ridden prominently throughout before being produced to lead before the second last fence where he quickly gained a strong advantage to run out an easy success. He travelled well throughout and handled the soft ground conditions admirably. The time of the race was the quickest of the six races and was run 16 seconds above the average of the day. He is a first winner for his dam who is a half-sister to the three-time winner Arctic Sky and is also from the family of Grade 1 and Grade 2 winner Billygoat Gruff.
